These are very different and scary times happening, both for the safety of volunteers and the friends and neighbors whom we serve every month.  We will only have a handful of folks that, rather than working the normal tables, will pack ziplock bags/plastic bags with supplies and distribute them individually. 

If you'd like the opportunity to join, are not currently sick nor in one of the at-risk populations that the CDC has identified for Covid-19 (nor are you regularly interacting with someone who is in that group), you can email [email protected] or text us at 22-HelpOut-2.  If we are already set with volunteers, no worries, but we must confirm that you can attend in order for you to come out.

We tabled for Austin AHH on May 4, 2019.  There were soooooo many families that came up to the table.  While kids focused on coloring or doing little activities, adults and parents talked about the the atheist community in Austin, upcoming volunteer activities (including the giveaway the following day), and more information about what we do.

People were incredibly receptive and, at times, our tables were completely full with kids and their guardians!! It is definitely something that we will look into doing in the future.
