Much love to the 15 folks who came out on this holiday weekend to help serve folks in our ATX community. We had at least 193 unique folks coming through the line, and gave out about 300 bags of assistance. 200 31-day bus passes were distributed, and people were REALLY excited to see them once again, thanks to the Atheist Community of Austin.
The coffee was super popular as it was quite cold this morning, for sure, as were the thermal socks, thermal underwear, and gloves. Much love to those who made scarfs for this giveaway, and we have leads on crocheted/knitted hats are on the docket for January. Thanks to the Freethinkers Association of Central Texas for some of the hair grease and bags for this giveaway. We will keep on the winter focus for the January giveaway, at least. The next giveaway will be January 5th at 9:15 AM. Keep a lookout for a post with the event details and the updated list of items that we need.
