February 2022 Distribution Recap

​While still very cold, it was a beautiful morning!!  Thanks so much to the 16 volunteers that came out to make this distribution happen smoothly.  The coffee and hot chocolate were high in demand, but, also, for the cups of noodles placed in our bags, we had hot water on tap for those who wanted to eat them immediately and for someone's tea at Zaragoza Park.  This time around, 157 bags of aid went out altogether.

It was a puppy palooza at our pleasant valley locale, going through every last bit of dog food we had. Someone even had the most adorable 2 month old puppies, seen in the yellow blankie pictures. Thanks so much to Foundation Beyond Belief and the Freethinkers Association of Central Texas for aiding us in obtaining food and water. The gallon jugs of water, in particular, meant a lot for those living in the wooded areas. Shout out to the amazing I Support the Girls - Austin , of the national I Support the Girls , for providing all of the hygiene supplies for those who menstruate. Lastly, for the donors that keep our main program targeting food insecurity and hygiene going strong (AustinAHH.org/donate), we absolutely extend a hearty thank you to all of you!!

We'll see everyone once again on March 5th for the pre-packing and March 6th for the distribution. We will also have bus passes once again for March!!!
