Bringing in the New Year in the Best Way We Know How - January 2022 Recap

​The winter weather arrived hard this morning so we extend a huge thank you to the dedicated 11 volunteers who still came out to make things happen.  We passed out all 150 bags throughout our two main locales (one at I-35 and the other on Pleasant Valley).

We had gallons of both coffee and hot chocolate lined up to help warm up our recipients, as the biting cold whipped under the bridge and at the park. Some even mixed the two together (which is really good, if you haven't tried it). Multiple bags of clothes, shoes, and a jacket or two rounded out this distribution. As we continue on, if you have clothes, coats or jackets, or even blankets, it's something that's definitely needed out there, so ping us if you have these kinds of items to donate so we can get them out as quickly as possible.

A huge shout-out to Foundation Beyond Belief for helping to purchase food items, to I Support the Girls - Austin for providing hygiene supplies for those who menstruate, and to Freethinkers Association of Central Texas for the coffee supplies and razors used this month.
