100+ Degree Days Continue Unabated...July 2022 Recap

Even in the morning time, it's impossible to escape the heat!  Thanks so much to the amazing volunteers who came out to distribute over 170 bags throughout 3 locales around Austin.

In order to help beat the heat, we placed extra bottles of water into each prepacked bag that was handed out. In addition, we had 48 gallon jugs of water to distribute to those that live further away from the city center, including under bridges and wooded areas, and small towels that people could use to shade their faces from the Sun or wet to keep cool. 

To offer some thing cooler, in addition to the large amount of coffee, we went through gallon of cool sun tea and 7 gallons of Kool-Aid. Thanks so much to the board chair of GO Humanity for bringing the tea and lots of clothing items in addition to GO Humanity helping to secure food items. Shout out to I Support the Girls - Austin for the menstruation hygiene supplies given out at this event.
