Thanks to everyone that came out yesterday to distribute items to our community. There was some horrendous traffic that pushed back the start time, but we still gave out 205 bags of items
Iced tea and coffee were on the menu this time around; 360 pairs of thermal socks were passed out, 2 going to each recipient. Much love to the Atheist Community of Austin for those.
A lovely shout out to the always wonderful I Support the Girls Austin chapter for coming out to distribute feminine hygiene products to an underserved population in our community.
We received a huge amount of donations of clothes, fruit, snack bars of various types, bags, and shoes (most of which came from Project Shoehorn). Thank ya'll so much for all of it.
The giveaway next month will be a more winter focused one; we'll be looking at blankets, hats, gloves, socks, hand warmers, etc. Other needed items would be coats, jackets, and backpacks.
We'll post the event soon once the inventory is completed and look forward to seeing everyone on December 2nd @ 9:15am.
Your friendly, Austin AHH Coordinator, Phil
