November 2019 Giveaway...Winter is Coming!!

Thanks so much to the 20+ volunteers that came out on this morning. It was a little warmer than the intense cold we've had recently, but it was still a bit brisk. The line was absolutely massive and well over 200 went through to get supplies.

A wonderful thank you to I Support the Girls - Austin, the local chapter of I Support the Girls, for providing the feminine hygiene products that were used for this giveaway, as always.

This time, we had just under 5 gallons of coffee that went REALLY quickly, so we may have to supplement the normal amount with more to ensure everyone that wishes to can partake. Lemonade was also on offer which was also a popular choice.

We had an incredibly large amount of clothes on offer, from a variety of folks. Some were brought to the ACA library, but the bulk majority stemmed from community volunteers and their neighbors. We allotted 19 feet of table space to accommodate the sheer volume, so thanks so much to everyone for that.

Shout-out to the ACA for helping with long socks, and there was a LARGE donation of socks with specific leaf symbols on them (take a look at the picture :-) ) These were very popular off the table. Thank you to the Freethinkers Association of Central Texas for providing the coffee for this giveaway!!

The December 1st giveaway will have SO MUCH going on, so get excited, ya'll!!! Winter-focused items will be at the forefront. Keep an eye for the new wishlist austinahh.org/Amazon and website austinahh.org/next for what will be needed (it's going to be ALOT).
