November 2021 Distribution and Pre-Pack Recap

Thanks so much to the 10 volunteers who came out for the pre-packing and the 12 for the distribution. For the 1st time in a very long time, we actually prepacked outside; it was such a beautiful day!!!

All the love to Foundation Beyond Belief , Freethinkers Association of Central Texas , and I Support the Girls - Austin , of the national I Support the Girls , for their continued support. Most of all, we want to give a big thank you for all the people who have contributed over the last month, from those donating to fundraising campaigns, to those showing up with clothes, water, sleeping bags and more, all of your efforts and generosity does not go unnoticed.

Due to the decentralization of individuals, we decided to place 31-day bus passes in every bag heading out. Given the current crisis and climate around our community living unhoused, it is highly likely that we will providing another round of 31-day passes on the 1st Sunday of December. This is in an effort to maintain a high degree of support when folks need it most.

In addition to our main locale, we heard of a large camp further South on Pleasant Valley. We found a very large group of folks there and took down several requests that we will be incorporating next month.

As the weather turns colder, will be looking to focus on more items to keep people warn so sleeping bags, blankets, wool hats, and gloves are welcome contributions!!
