October 2018 Recap....The Largest Volunteer Turnout to Serve a Growing Community :-)

Many thanks and kisses to the 35 volunteers that came out to help aid our community today. About 235 people went through our two lines and received aid, and we had a serious army of folks to serve them, a third of which was their 1st time out there 😍🤩😘​

​Not only did people show up at the giveaway, the sorting and packing shindig the day before was super well-attended by about 20 volunteers and knocked it out of the park. Shout out to the Atheist Community of Austin that supplied the space for that event, and the 200 t-shirts for recipients (which were very well received).

Though she and her family couldn't stay for the aerial photo we took at the very end, much love and hugs to the Austin chapter of I Support the Girls' leader, Zuzana, for coming out and being awesome, as always.

10 gallons of coffee and Kool - Aid were demolished once again. We had clothes galore, backpacks, lots of fresh fruit and plenty of waters to beat this heat and humidity.

Several requests were made for items like anti-fungal cream and foot powder, so we'll be looking into that for next time.

The next giveaway will be November 4, 2018, at 9:15am. If the weather starts turning cold, we'll begin our winter-minded items, but we'll see what Texas has in store.
