TAP Distribution + Muggy Morning - September 2022 Recap

It was a hot and muggy morning in central Texas. Thanks so much to the 18 volunteers that came out today to distribute every single of our 178 bags into the community. As this was a Transit Assistance Program (TAP) Distribution Day, we definitely saw an increase in folks coming through the line.

Despite the ongoing heat, our 10-gallon coffee dispenser was left empty after the 2nd locale; the ice-cold Koolaid was very popular especially further south.

Thanks to I Support the Girls - Austin for helping in both the pre-packing (including providing several types of wipes placed in bags) and providing hygiene supplies for recipients. Huge shoutout to GO Humanity for providing support for food items and heat-related supplies like extra waters in the bags, cooling towels, and gallon water jugs.

December will be the last TAP Distribution day for 2022, 1st Sunday as always.

Thanks so much for those who have donated to these continued efforts at AustinAHH.org/donate. It makes all the difference every month. We'll be back at it again on October 1st for the pre-packing event with the distribution occurring on the 2nd.
