Much love to the 7 volunteers that came out this morning to hand out 148 bags of aid to our friends and neighbors in central and south Austin. We were also able to meet up with 2 F-TAP recipients to give them bus passes for the month of April. F-TAP is an extension of our TAP program where we support an individual or family with bus passes every single month for no less than 6 months. Thanks to the generous support of several amazing folks, we have been able to support a family of 2 (both with disabilities) for over a full year.

A wonderful thank you to the 13 volunteers who came out for the pre-packing yesterday and for today's distribution. Every single one of our 150 bags went out over the course of our two locales.
Along with the main bags, which included additional food items like oatmeal for the first time in a while, we had 42 lbs of bananas, 8 gallons of coffee, and 5 gallons of hot water that recipients could use for their oatmeal, noodles, or to make a cup of tea (which we had plenty of).... While still very cold, it was a beautiful morning!! Thanks so much to the 16 volunteers that came out to make this distribution happen smoothly. The coffee and hot chocolate were high in demand, but, also, for the cups of noodles placed in our bags, we had hot water on tap for those who wanted to eat them immediately and for someone's tea at Zaragoza Park. This time around, 157 bags of aid went out altogether.
